Kildala Elementary Student Rosemary Reschke is delighted to announce the publication of her first book, “Bravery Counts“.
This was written for a competition sponsored by Kitimat Community Service Society and was published in the Northern Sentinel in 2010. Since then, Reschke worked with local artist, Grace Hall, to illustrate the book.
“Bravery Counts” has a strong anti-bullying message and emphasizes the importance of courage and friendship. Illustrator, Grace Hall, demonstrates her own brand of bravery as she continues to overcome numerous health difficulties with determination, courage and humour.
Rosemary Reschke is a Kildala Elementary School student and says that there is limited playground equipment available at this school. Therefore, Rosemary has decided to donate all proceeds from her book to the Kildala Parents Advisory Council which is currently fundraising in the hopes of purchasing new equipment.
Just in time for Christmas gift-giving, “Bravery Counts” is available at Bookmasters and at the Kitimat Community Services Society located in the Bank of Montreal building in the City Centre Mall.
